Goat Cay is located on Great Exuma, a jewel in the Bahamian necklace of over 700 Islands. Nestled on the tip of a secluded peninsula, it is only minutes away from the historic village of George Town. The Exuma Islands are a collection of around 365 cays and islands in the middle of the Islands of the Bahamas, stretching over 120 miles. The two main islands, Great Exuma and Little Exuma are located in the southern tip of the Exumas. The islands are primarily known for their pristine beaches, exciting snorkelling, sailing and fishing. Home to many boating competitions like The Family Island Regatta, The New Year’s Day Cruising Regatta, and the widely revered National Out Island Regatta, the islands’ cays and hidden coves make for some of the most spectacular sailing in The Bahamas. Additionally, diving enthusiasts from around the world believe The Exumas are one of the most spectacular places in all of The Bahamas. Vast beds of undisturbed coral, teeming with brightly coloured schools of fish of every variety, surround The Exumas, in addition to the Austin Smith Wreck. The primary watersport in Exuma is snorkelling, which can be done off the beach, from a glassbottom boat or off one of the many cays. Stocking Island, across Elizabeth harbour from the property, has extensive beaches, snorkelling and is perfect for shell collecting and picnicking on the Atlantic side of the Island. The property, which rests atop a coral point, is surrounded by lush tropical foliage and has a spectacular ocean view. It is a special haven for those who enjoy their privacy. Goat Cay has four air-conditioned bedrooms with adjoining bathrooms for a maximum accommodation of eight guests. In addition, there is an outside patio for meals, and a dining/living room area overlooking the ocean. A car is provided for your personal use during your stay. A sailboat, two kayaks and snorkelling equipment are also available. Arnold, the caretaker, and local expert, can take you either deep sea fishing, bottom fishing, and bone fishing, or sailing and snorkelling in the property’s Seacraft SC 20' Classic motorboat.
