This beautiful two-storey villa is situated in Soufrière, just off the road to Anse Chastanet beach. Facing south-west, there are magnificent views of the famous Piton mountains and the sea, as far as St. Vincent on clear days. The Soufrière area is considered by many to be the most beautiful part of St. Lucia, with its sulphur springs, botanical gardens and mineral baths, rain forest and unspoiled coastline. Anse Chastenet beach, with superb diving facilities, is just a five minute drive from the house. The snorkelling just off the beach is part of a protected marine park.
The gardens around the house are filled with bougainvillea, pointsettias, pink and white vincas, white and blue thunbergia blossoms, bamboo and fragrant white ginger lilies. There is a swimming pool (6 x 4m), with a tiled terrace to one side furnished with sun loungers. The owners of the property live next door and guests are able to use their tennis court which is just below the house.
The interiors of the villa feature wooden floors, Italian tiled bathrooms, two large bedrooms with antique West Indian 4-poster beds, and antique tables and armoires. The walls and ceilings have been painted in a blend of soft greys, off whites and whites. The living area is upstairs and the rooms open a furnished covered terrace from where the wonderful views can be enjoyed. The bedrooms on the lower level have ceiling fans and windows with louvred shutters.
