Cala Deia is a magnificent luxury stone-built villa overlooking the pebbly cove of Deia. Deia village is about a kilometre and a half from the house up the hill and offers restaurants, bars, cafés, boutiques and the services of La Residencia which is a key feature of this beautiful cliff top village. There are a number of fine restaurants and a museum dedicated to the writer Robert Graves which is worth a visit.
This elegant house itself enjoys spectacular views to the sea and is set against a backdrop of native island pines. With its large swimming pool and paved terrace area looking out to sea from the well kept gardens guests can relax on the teak sun loungers, swing in the hammock or enjoy a meal al fresco on the terrace where a large dining table seats up to ten making it the perfect spot for a group of friends or larger family. There is also a small lawned area for siestas. The property is very well maintained and has magnificent character with rooms featuring exposed wooden beams and all bedrooms featuring a sea view.
The accommodation is beautifully appointed and features the best quality fixtures and fittings. The property is split over three floors and on entering the property guests find themselves in a spacious entrance hall leading to the four large double bedrooms on the first two floors. The hall also has access to the garage which has parking for 2 cars. From the main living room, French windows open to a bougainvillea-draped covered terrace and then to the lawn and swimming pool beyond. There are further shaded terraces surrounding the house providing a choice of locations for enjoying breakfast and other meals on balmy summer evenings. There is a barbeque for use on a separate terrace. Insider tip – The fish restaurant on the beach is considered to be one of the finest in the Balearic Islands and the perfect place for a long summer lunch.
