For families, there are both crowded and quiet beaches and two exciting waterparks for children. Other activities include private cruises, diving, tennis, golf, mini-golf and a variety of watersports. You can also visit the nearby tiny island of Formentera, 7 kilometres away, with its megalithic relics and unique beaches. The old part of Ibiza town, D'Alt Vila, is Europe’s most ancient fortress city, perched high on the hillside to one side of the port. A wander through its narrow cobbled streets is fascinating with its old castle, cathedral and Museum of Contemporary Art.
