This very light and spacious villa is situated close to the ancient Moorish castle town of Silves, which has several food shops, banks and restaurants. It also hosts a number of different festivals throughout the summer. There are several beaches and golf courses within a short drive. Special day rates can be arranged for guests at a local gym and spa.
The house, garden, swimming pool (with heating included April - October), outdoor shower and barbecue area (converted from an old bread oven and pigsty) are enclosed by a natural stone wall, which allows one to look out but provides total privacy. There is a championship size tennis court at the rear of the property and a shaded games area (table tennis and table football) plus parking for several cars. Private tennis coaching can be arranged at the villa.
The interior is modern and comfortable with mosquito netting on all windows and air-conditioning throughout the villa. All the bedrooms (3 double and 3 twins) have en-suite bathrooms, chestnut wood floors and have under floor heating. Other rooms in the villa have terracotta tiled floors. The large reception and dining rooms have “French” windows, which open onto a covered terrace for eating outdoors, looking down to the pretty garden with rockery, flowers and shrubs, but mostly laid to lawn and with pines trees providing plenty of shade. Amenities include satellite TV, DVD and CD player, and there is a baby cot and highchair available on request. A welcome hamper with some basic food and cleaning supplies is included in the rental.
