Podere Ponte is a beautiful villa situated on the outskirts of the small hamlet of Ponte d’Arbia, to the south of Siena. The hamlet can be reached on foot and has a bar and restaurant. Buonconvento, with a large selection of shops and restaurants, is just 3 kilometres away. The property is entirely fenced in to afford maximum privacy and access is through a wrought-iron electronic gate, with a parking area next to the house for 3 – 4 cars.
To the rear of the villa is a flat lawned garden with swimming pool (13 x 5.5m) with an electric sliding cover. Near the pool is a separate restored barn with original features intact and offering additional accommodation for up to four guests. From the garden there are wonderful views of the surrounding fields and hills. To one side of the villa is a large covered terrace with dining and sitting areas, opening on one side to the garden and swimming pool. There is also a wood-burning oven for baking bread and pizza.
The house was completely restored in 2003, with care to preserve the original features, such as the cotto floors, the vaulted brick ceilings and arches downstairs and the exposed wooden ceiling beams on the first floor. The rooms have been decorated in warm pastel colours and furnished very tastefully throughout to a high standard, with some antique pieces. The villa and the separate barn have air conditioning, which is included in the price. Heating and firewood, during the winter months, are charged at 300 euros a week. Further amenities include satellite television with DVD, telephone, fax, intercom system and a baby cot and highchair. There is also ISDN internet connection at the property.

One archway opens to the garden with pool and the other to the front of the house. Spacious and well equipped kitchen with large gas hob and grill, huge electric oven, American fridge/freezer with ice-maker, and dishwasher.
