Built in typical southern Sienese tradition, the house was renovated in 1999, keeping the originality of the structure intact, including the arched brick ceilings downstairs, exposed beam ceilings upstairs and the cotto floors, while adding all modern amenities. The property is partially fenced in and there is a covered car park.
The main access to the house is through an open courtyard with wrought-iron gate. To the left of the courtyard is a covered terrace with large dining table, ideal for dining ‘al fresco’. On the right of the courtyard is a barbecue and a utility room. To the rear of the house is a lovely expanse of lawned garden with a swimming pool (12 x 6m), surrounded by a furnished sun terrace.
The house has been decorated and furnished to a very high standard, in cream, dark reds and greens, and there are several antique pieces. The rooms are particularly bright and spacious with large archways connecting the living areas. There is satellite television, DVD, stereo CD player, telephone, and a baby cot is available on request. Central gas heating and firewood are charged at €400 per week during the winter season.
