This beautiful property belongs to the Campalli estate, a huge farm of 750 acres, which produces Chianti Classico wine. The estate also includes the Castle of Campalli. La Corte di Campalli is an impressive stone-built farmhouse that dates back to the 16th century. Although it is in a very secluded and quiet location, it is only 7 kms away from a motorway exit, so an ideal base for trips to the main Tuscan towns. The centre of Siena is just 18 kms away.
It takes it name from the striking internal courtyard around which it was built. Restored in 2002 by its discerning owners, authentic traditional materials have been used, and the rooms equipped with all modern facilities. The interiors are particularly airy and spacious, with doors both to the courtyard and the garden. The beautiful swimming pool has been located in one of the most panoramic positions of the garden and has an electric cover that maintains the water temperature higher in the mid seasons. There is also a furnished sun terrace where the magnificent countryside views can be enjoyed.
Amenities include central heating, satellite TV, DVD player and stereo, a barbecue, pizza oven and table tennis. A local cook can be arranged to cook Tuscan specialities, which has proved very popular with past guests. A menu can be provided on request. Guided tours of the estate and the castle, including wine tasting, can also be arranged, as can cooking lessons, massages and yoga lessons.
