Cottage Gugliano is on the same estate as our larger property, Villa Gugliano. It offers charming and cosy accommodation for up to six people. It can be rented as part of Villa Gugliano to provide accommodation for up to 15 people, or out of high season (2nd October until 5th June 2009), it is available to rent on its own. Stays of less than a week are possible. The property sits in a stunning and tranquil hillside position, about 20 minutes drive from Lucca. The views are spectacular, extending over the countryside of fields, vineyards and olive groves. There are many interesting places to visit within an easy drive, including the nearby villages of Bagni di Lucca, Barga, Castelnuovo di Garfagnana and Collodi. A little further will bring you to the coast and Forte dei Marmi, within a 30 minute drive, and the Garfagnana area, offering fabulous walks, about one hour away. Florence and the Cinque Terre both reachable in under an hour and a half. The large grounds surrounding the villa and cottage are filled with olive trees, pear, apples and fig trees, while beyond stretch terraces of olive groves and woodland. On a lower level within the garden is a swimming pool (10 x 6m), available for use during high season, when the cottage is rented with the main villa.
