Nestled among the pine trees of the beautiful coastline of the Cilento, to the south of the Amalfi coast, this villa occupies a wonderful position, on the edge of the sea in the Oasis Reserve of Punta Licosa, which is the private estate of the owner. The four kilometre stretch of coastline ensures total privacy, and the villa is accessed via a security entrance to the estate. The villa is in front of the Islet of Licosa, where it is said that Ulysses sailed by centuries ago, and has easy access to the small quayside and pebble beach. There is also a sundeck for relaxing and enjoying the views. Walks can be taken through the pine woodlands on the estate, which back onto the sea.
A large terrace running the length of the villa, is perfect for open-air dining under the stars in the evening with views of the sea and lights of the Amalfi coast, or under the shade of a marquee at lunchtime. There is a built-in barbecue in the garden, as well as a private swimming pool. The spacious accommodation of 150m2 is very well furnished and equipped, including air conditioning, satellite TV, B-Ray player and wi-fi internet access. A first floor apartment with 3 additional bedrooms (not air conditioned) is available on request at extra cost).
Guests staying at the villa can also use the facilities at nearby Palazzo Belmonte, approximately 8 kms away) including a sandy beach. Activities nearby include bicycle hire, fishing trips, snorkelling, hydrofoil excursions to Positano and Capri, tennis and other watersports. Places of interest to visit include the picturesque medieval village of Castellabate, overlooking the sea, the Doric monuments of Paestum, founded by the Greeks in 600BC, Padula and the Charter House of San Lorenzo, one of the largest and richest monasteries in southern Italy, and Reggia di Caserta, the 18th century royal Residence of the Bourbons with its beautiful landscaped gardens.
