This very special and unique property is a converted windmill, situated in the countryside between the capital, Fira and the traditional town of Oia. It is a peaceful and relaxing ambience, with its surroundings of white Cycladic architecture, green vineyards, and the blue sea. The nearest beach and restaurant at Pori are just 700 metres from the house. The property is close to the other windmill we have for rent here, Windmill Lilac, so the two could be rented together for larger groups.
The house has been designed in a minimalist, yet artistic style, using ecologically friendly materials where possible. The circular architecture of the windmill allows for space and traditional painted cement floors and soothing pastel colours add to the feeling of peace and relaxation. The bedrooms have been furnished in a romantic style with built-in double beds with ecological mattresses, an upper mattress, feather pillows and air conditioning. The bathrooms are also very pretty and provided with hair dryers. The living room is well equipped with air conditioning, satellite plasma TV, DVD, CD player, telephone, internet access and safety deposit boxes.
Outside on the terrace is a bean-shaped swimming pool with hydro-massage facility for four people. A nearby pergola covered dining area is perfect for dining outdoors and fresh produce can be used from the Windmill’s garden. Daily maid service is included and further services including a chef or masseur, can be provided on request. An transfer to and from the airport or port is also included in the price. Minimum stay at this property is 3 nights.
