This beautifully renovated traditional mansion is situated in a quiet position on a hilltop overlooking vineyards and the quaint village of Megalochori, with the Aegean Sea in the distance. It is just a 50-metre walk down to the village square with bar and restaurant. The main town of Fira and the Caldera are 9 km away, and it is also within easy reach of Akrotiri and many of the beaches on the island.
Entrance to the property is into a cobbled courtyard, hand-made by local craftsmen. The courtyard contains a new swimming pool, and comfortable loungers. The villa is on two floors, with a living area and kitchen on each floor, connected by an outside stone flight of stairs. Large terraces on the first floor are furnished for relaxing and dining outdoors and offer panoramic views over the surrounding countryside.
The interiors are delightful, with original wooden floors and the many windows making for a bright and airy ambience. The magnificent master bedroom on the ground floor has a domed ceiling, while the first floor bedroom has views overlooking vineyards on one side and the Aegean Sea on the other. Amenities include one 5-seat car rental (third party insurance and unlimited kilometers included), air-conditioning, satellite TV and DVD, iPod and iPod docking station, as well as wi-fi internet access. Transfers from/to Santorini port or airport are also included. Minimum stay is 3 nights. A welcome hamper awaits you on arrival and our local concierge service is available during your stay to advise on what to do, where to eat, and any other information you may require. Meals can also be delivered for breakfasts, light lunches or dinners from a traditional Greek café in the main square.
