The Mas is situated a mere 1.5 kms from the centre of the pretty market town of St Rémy de Provence with its smart shops and excellent selection of good restaurants, including a nearby 2 star Michelin restaurant. Les Alpilles region of Provence is rich in history and sites of interest. The Roman ruins of Glanum, the hilltop fort at Les Baux de Provence, Le Cathedrale des Images (in 2009 celebrating the works of Picasso), and the nearby Camargue are just a few of the attractions on your doorstep. The Roman city of Arles, the historic towns of Avignon, Aix en Provence, and Nimes are all within easy driving distance. St Remy has a weekly market, considered to be one of the best in Provence. For the active there is an 18 hole golf course, tennis courts, horse riding, cycling and walking opportunities.
