This delightful gem of a Luberon village house is situated just a short walk from the main square in Goult. Goult is a picturesque, ancient, fortified village situated on a hilltop, with views over the plains towards the Plateau de Vaucluse to the north and towards the Luberon mountains to the south. Village amenities include a bakery, two butchers, grocery shop, hairdresser, newsagent (also selling international newspapers) and four restaurants. There is also a fitness and beauty centre, a tennis club, children’s playground and three wine domains. Lumière, at the bottom of the hill has more restaurants and a grocery shop. The beautiful hilltop village of Gordes is just a few kilometres away, also with a selection of restaurants and shops, and there are many other pretty villages and sights to explore in the surrounding area. Entrance to the house is directly from the road into a pretty hallway, with the living area on one side and the kitchen on the other. The colours throughout are soothing creams and beiges, while the floors are cream tiled downstairs and sisal carpets in the upstairs bedrooms. High ceilings with exposed beams, painted cream, tadelakt paint effects in the kitchen, and Provençal furniture with ‘distressed’ paintwork all add to the charming ambience. The windows are double glazed to protect against possible traffic noise, and also have mosquito screens. There is central heating and a fireplace in the living room. Further amenities include satellite television, DVD, CD player and wi-fi internet access. The dining end of the living area, opens via glass doors to a dining terrace under a large lime tree, and a very pretty garden with a heated swimming pool. If small children are staying, a folding fence can be erected around the pool to provide protection. There are three bedrooms on the first floor of the main part of the house, and off one side of the garden is a third independent bedroom and bathroom. The house is particularly suited for two or three couples, and there is a 4 person price for out of season bookings. There is garage parking.
