This charming house is the Orangerie of a tiny hamlet which, in the early 20th century, was the domaine of Professor Samuel Pozzi. Perfectly situated for exploring the Dordogne, it is just 10 minutes from both the centre of Bergerac and the airport, making its location ideal for discovering this beautiful area of France. Activities which can be arranged locally include wine tastings, horse riding,children’s painting classes, golf at either Château des Vigier or Château Les Merles and canoeing or kayaking on the Vézére or Dordogne rivers. Places to visit include the chateaux of Monbazillac, Lanquais and Biron, the lively Sunday market of the circular medieval village of Issigeac or the Thursday market at the medieval town of Monpazier, the beautiful hilltop village of Domme and the capital of the Dordogne, Perigueux.
Situated in 10 hectares of land comprising woodland, fields and garden, this lovely home is furnished throughout with beautiful french antiques, wonderful paintings and interesting objets d'art. .It is nevertheless very much a family home, and very comfortable with great character and charm. All the bedrooms have the highest quality bedlinen and hairdryers, white fluffy bathroom towels are provided, as well as pool towels. The entrance hall/TV area has a large flat-screen TV (English channels, French TNT, CNN news etc), DVD, video and a library of DVDs and videos, suitable for all ages.
The large garden has a paved and fenced pool area with swimming pool (5m x 10m with a depth of 1m to 2m at the deep end and ladder access). A large south-facing terrace runs the width of the house, and there is a small covered terrace to the east, as well as a covered dining area to the west. There are ample sun-loungers, large wooden sun chairs, umbrellas, a ping-pong table (bats and balls provided),swings for the children, and a gas plancha BBQ. There are several bicycles of various sizes at the house which clients are welcome to use during their stay and there are lots of toys to amuse younger guests, including books, board games and lego.

Ground Floor
Entrance hall/ TV area. The huge salon has windows on three sides, including French doors onto the main terrace. It has a games’ area with card tables and a comfortable day-bed for a quiet afternoon read at one end, and the central area has three sofas arranged around a stone fireplace. At the far end is a formal dining area seating up to 12 people. Morning room/breakfast room between the salon and kitchen, with a long breakfast table, armchairs, fireplace and french doors onto the west side of the garden. The kitchen is well equipped with dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer, cooker with gas hob and electric oven, mixer, blender etc. A door leads onto the west side of the garden.There is also a separate utility room off the central lobby with an additional fridge/freezer and washing machine.
Bedroom 3 (Tulip) is situated on the east side of the house with a door leading onto a small terrace
It has a wooden floors,a double bed, fireplace, built in cupboards,writing desk,T V (French channels) and DVD.There is an en-suite bathroom with twin basins, shower over bath,WC and bidet.
Bedroom 4 (Margot) is a large twin-bedded room with wooden floors, a fireplace,a small sofa and TV (French channels and DVD).A door leads onto the small terrace.
Bedroom 5 (Marie) is a single room with a terracota floor, built in cupboards, writing desk,a wash hand basin and a door leading to the garden.
Bedrooms 4 and 5 share a bathroom off the central lobby which has a bath with shower over, basin and WC.
First Floor
Bedroom 1 (Sophie) A very sunny room with wooden floors,a super-king size bed, cupboard and writing desk. Off the bedroom is a separate dressing area, leading to the bathroom. The bathroom has a large shower, basin and WC. From the dressing area there is an additional small bedroom which would be suitable for either a baby or small child.
Bedroom 2 (Samuel) A large twin bedded room with carpet flooring, a cupboard, writing desk and a screened « coin bain » consisting of a basin and bidet.
