This romantic and private villa on the stunning island of Vis is perched over the Adriatic Sea, with wonderful sea views from every room, terraces and gardens. Designated as one of the ten most environmentally preserved islands on the Mediterranean, the island is renowned for its picture-postcard beauty, its olive groves and vines, traditional villages, deserted beaches and long, fascinating history. Less than 2 hours from Split, it feels like another world. There are several villages close to the villa, with local ‘konobas’ (traditional restaurants), and both sandy and pebble beaches - Milna Bay and Zaglav Bay are both just a short walk. Stoncica Bay with a sandy beach and restaurant, Rukavac, a fishing village with a beachside fish restaurant and Srebrna Bay, a white pebble beach are all within a few minutes' drive. You can browse the daily fruit, vegetable and fish markets in the port of Vis, 9km away, and in Komiza, 18km. A local baker delivers fresh bread daily to Milna-Zenka Bay homes, as well as fresh fruit and vegetables twice a week - or buy fresh fish directly from the fishing boats in nearby Rukavac village. The Summer Festival (July to September) is a very special local event, offering a great experience for visitors, with jazz, classical music, local theatre and traditional culture. There is an annual Vis regatta in October which attracts hundreds of yachts and visitors from around the world. There are also tennis courts in Vis.
The two-storey villa, designed with indoor/outdoor living in mind, opens to spacious terraces on both levels, offering both private areas for relaxing and larger terraces with living and dining areas for friends and family to gather. Three outdoor dining areas each seat 6–10 people - one has a large stone fireplace and barbecue. On a lower garden level, there is the Garden Level Suite, accessed independently and available for additional guests. The gardens, on several levels, are filled with lavender, native blooms, olive and citrus trees. The pathways through the garden lead directly down to the sea for sunbathing and swimming, with stair access less than a few metres from the villa. There is also an outdoor shower.
Inside the villa, the accommodation is spacious, airy and very tastefully furnished, with floor to ceiling windows and glass doors opening to terraces (most windows and doors are equipped with mosquito screens). Kitchens on both floors allow for meals inside, upstairs or downstairs, or on the upper or lower terraces. Further amenities three satellite TVs, DVD, broadband internet, washing machine, two dishwashers and two bicycles. Air-conditioning and central heating are also available. There is also mooring for small boat. There is also discount for reduced occupancy in the main villa outside the months of June, July, August and September. Please note that this is a non-smoking property. Advance shopping can done for clients on request.
