The Como Shambhala Estate, with its jungle and river setting, offers a unique residential health retreat combining holistic wellness with state-of-the-art facilities and exceptional accommodation. It is located about 15 minutes from Ubud, Bali’s major centre of art and culture. In surroundings of such intense peace and beauty, it is not surprising that guests return here year after year to be pampered and re-energized.
Regular Retreat weeks focus on subjects from yoga to Tibetan Buddhism, and Asian therapies and healthy cuisine are also formulated to cater for personal requirements. The Como Shambhala Spa offers many specialities, which include Ayurveda, Reflexology, Yoga, Pilates and Nutrition, Anti-Ageing treatments and stress management. More active sports are also available, such as mountain biking, hiking, climbing, rowing, whitewater rafting and outdoor circuit training. Facilities within the Estate include a gymnasium, lap-pool, floodlit tennis court, two restaurants and 24 hour in-room dining service .
Just outside the grounds of the Estate, there are four private villas available for rent, which have access to all the Estate’s facilities and treatments. Each villa is very private, enclosed by walls on three sides, with views over its private pool. Two of the villas, Sukma Taru and Gesing Kanila, have two bedrooms each, while the two others, Pita Linggar and Giri Antara, have three bedrooms. Facilities in all accommodation include king-size beds, air conditioning, satellite TV, CD and DVD player, wi-fi internet access, private bar, safe and hairdryer.
